Yesterday, Deputy Under Secretary for USDA Brandon Lipps, Congressman Rodney Davis, and ISBE Board Member Susie Morrison came to see how schools in session are able to serve meals both in person and provide grab and go meals for remote learners. Deputy Under Secretary Lipps flew into St. Louis and was on his way to a meeting in Bloomington and stopped by the school to extend his appreciation to all our cafeteria staff across the District. He was able to personally meet and speak with the High/Middle School staff. US Representative Davis and ISBE Board Member Susie Morrison also met with cafeteria staff and visited classrooms observing protocols and in-person learning during COVID.
